What is IV hydration therapy?
IV hydration therapy is the process of delivering fluids, vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream through an intravenous line. By bypassing the digestive system entirely, your body absorbs everything at full strength—immediately. The result is faster, more complete replenishment than drinking fluids or taking oral supplements can provide.
How is IV therapy different from just drinking water?
When you drink water or take oral supplements, your digestive system absorbs only a fraction of what you consume—typically 20–50% under ideal conditions. IV therapy delivers nutrients directly to your cells at 100% absorption. For someone dealing with dehydration, illness, or nutritional depletion, that difference is significant and often immediately noticeable.
Is IV therapy safe?
Yes—when administered by licensed medical professionals following proper protocols. Every Thrive infusion is delivered by a Registered Nurse with ACLS and BLS certification, under the oversight of our Medical Director, Dr. Jawad Trad. We use sterile, single-use IV supplies and pharmaceutical-grade ingredients from FDA-certified facilities. IV hydration is not recommended for those with congestive heart failure or severe kidney disease. Our intake process reviews your health history before every session to ensure IV therapy is appropriate for you.
Does the IV insertion hurt?
We apply a topical anesthetic spray before IV insertion, so the process is nearly painless for most clients. Your comfort is a priority from the moment you arrive.
How long does an appointment take?
Most infusions run approximately 45 minutes from start to finish. Your RN will be with you throughout to monitor your comfort and answer any questions. We'll also take a few minutes before your drip begins for a health intake and consultation.
When will I feel the results?
Most clients notice a difference before their drip is even finished. The effects of a full IV infusion typically last several days, and in some cases up to a week or more. Clients who incorporate IV therapy into a regular routine—weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly—tend to experience the most sustained results.
How much does IV hydration cost?
Pricing varies by blend. The Quench & Go starts at $139, and most blends range from $189 to $309 depending on ingredients and whether you book in spa or mobile. View the full menu and pricing on our Drip Blends page.
Who should not get IV therapy?
IV hydration is not appropriate for those with congestive heart failure or severe kidney disease unless directed by a physician. Certain medication interactions may also require clearance before your appointment. If you have a medical condition or are unsure whether IV therapy is right for you, text us at 918-550-2740 and we'll help you determine the best path forward.
What are the most common reasons people get IV hydration?
People come to Thrive for a wide range of reasons, including general dehydration and fatigue, hangover recovery, stomach flu or food poisoning, migraine relief, immune support, athletic performance and recovery, brain fog and stress, travel and jet lag recovery, and long-term wellness maintenance. View our full Drip Blends menu to find the blend best suited to your needs.
Are there any side effects?
IV therapy is very well-tolerated by most clients. The most common side effects are minor and temporary—slight bruising or tenderness at the insertion site, a brief cool or flushing sensation during the infusion, or rarely, mild lightheadedness. Serious complications are rare and are significantly reduced through sterile technique, single-use supplies, and continuous nurse monitoring throughout every session.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, we recommend booking in advance to ensure availability. Same-day appointments are often available—text us at 918-550-2740 or book online through our Drip Blends page. For groups of five or more, please give us at least 3 hours notice so we can properly staff for your visit.
Do you offer mobile service?
Yes. Most of our blends are available via mobile service, with a licensed Registered Nurse coming to your home, hotel, or event within 1–3 hours. Mobile pricing is slightly higher than in-spa to account for travel. Some blends are available in-spa only.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please text us at 918-550-2740 at least 1 hour before your appointment.
